Jame/s, the 3d Day of No-vember, 1762, PRESENT, The KING'S mod Excellent Majefty in Cpuncil. IT is this Day ordered by His Majefty in Council, That the Order in Cpuncil, iffued on the 17th of September lair, for Proroguing the Parliament from Tuefday the Ninth to Thurfday the Eleventh Day of this Jnftant November, be difcharged. And thac the Parliament be Prorogued from Tuefday the Ninth to Thurfday the Twenty-fifth Day of this In-itant November. And the Right Honourable the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain is to caufe a Commiffion to be prepared, in the ufual Manner, for Proroguing the Parliament accordingly. - W.BUir. AT the Court at St. James's, the 17th Day of September, 176 2, P R E S E N Ti The KING's moft Excellent Majefty in Council.- 'HEREAS His Majefty was pleafed, by His Order in Council of the zd of April laft, to direct, That the Bounties of Six Pounds for every, able Seaman, and of Three Pounds for every ordinary Seaman, fhould continue to be paid to every fuch able and ordinary Seaman, not above the Age of Fifty, m 1 under the Age of Eighteen Years, who fhould,. on or before the 31ft Day of May aft, voluntarily enter themfelves to ferve in His Ma-efty's Navy, either with the Captains or Lieutenants of His. Majefty's Ships, or the Chief Officers on Board fuch Tenders as fhould be employed for raifing Men for the Service of His Majefty's Royal Navy.: And alfothat the Bounty of Thirty Shillings fhould be continued to be paid to.every able bodied Landman not above the Age of Thirty Five, nor under, the Age of Eighteen Years, who fhould, on or before the faid 31ft Day of May laft, voluntarily enter themfelves in like Manner to ferve in His Majefty's Royal Navy ; and that a. Reward of Five Pounds for every able, and of. Two Pounds Ten Shillings for every ordinary Seaman, fhould continue to be paid to any Perfqn who fhould" difcover aDy Seamap or Seamen who may fecret -themfelves, fo that fuch Seaman or. Seamen fhould be taken for His Majefty's faid Service, oil-or before the faid Thirty-firft Day of May laft,:--- And. whereas, the Time limited for .paying the faid Bounties and Rewards hath been continued and extended to the 30th of this-Inftant September; And it being judged expedient for His Majefty?s Service, that ^he/fame fhould be continued for forhe Time longer; His.Majefty; with the Advice .of His Privy Council, doth, therefore order, :and it is hereby accordingly. Ordered, that the Time' limited for Payment of the faid bounties and Rewards^ be prolonged and extended. from the faid 30th Day. of this fnftant September, to thejothDay of November [ Price Six Pence. ] the next. And that the faid Bounties and Rewards be paid in the Manner directed by His Majefty's aforementioned Order in Council of the 2d of April laft. The following Addrefs of the Nobility, Gentry, and Clergy, of the County of Northampton, has been prefented to His Majefty by the Earl of Halifax, Lord Lieutenant of the faid County, and one of His Majefty's Principal Secretaries of State : Which Addrefs His Majefty was pleafed to receive' very gracioufly. To the King's moft Excellent Majefty, The humble Addrefs of the Nobility, Gentry, and Clergy, of the County of Northampton. E your Majefty's moft dutiful and loyal Subjects, the Nobility, Gentry, and Clergy ^ of County of Northampton, beg Leave to offer to your Majefty our moft fincere Congratulations on the Birth of an Heir Apparent to the Crown of Great Britairr." The Experience of the many Blef-fings, which this Nation now enjoys under your Majefty's Gracious Government, and which it has long enjoyed under your Majefty's Royal Anceftors, could not fail of producing in our Hearts the moft ardent and anxious Wifhes for their Permanency and Stability. We therefore exprefs our unfeigned Joy on this great and aufpicious Event, fo promifory of our future-Happinefs, and look forward to the Effects of your Majefty~s excellent Example and Parental In-itruftions to the Prince of Wales, as infuring. the Accomplishment of our moft fanguine E-xpeftatior.3 for us and our Pofterity. Your Majefty will permit us to add * our further. Congratulations "on the late, important.Succeffes of your Majefty's Forces in the Reduftiotf'of the Ha-vannah, and the Retaking, of the Fort of St. John's on the Ifland of Newfoundland ; by which our Enemies are made fenfible not only of the Superiority of the Britilh Arms, but alfo of the particular Favour, which the Divine Providence beftows on the Juftice of the Caufe in which they are engaged : Succeffes, which muft tend to the fpeedy Eftablifh- . ment of a glorious and lafting Peace, the only. Addition which your Majefty has yet to-make to the' Happinefs of your Subjects.
