April, 1762, ^. , � PRESENT, The KING'S rnoft Excellent Majefty in Council. HERE AS His Majefty was gracionfly pleafed, by His Royal Proclamation bearing Date the Second Day of February laflj to Promife and Declare (amongft other Things) That the Bounties of Six Pounds for every Able Seaman, and of Three. Pounds for every Ordinary Seaman, "ihould be paid to every fuch Able and Ordinary Seaman, not above the Age of Fifty, nor under the Age of Eighteen Years, who mould, on or before the Thirty. firllDay of.March laft; enter themfelves toferve in His Majefly's Royal Navy, either with the Captains.or Lieutenants of His Majelly's Ships, or the Chief Officers oh Board fuch Tenders as fhould be employed for Raifing Men for' the Service of the Royal "Navy j and that a Bounty of Thirty Shillings fhould be paid to every Able-bodied Landman, not above the Age of Thirty-five, nor under the Age of Eighteen Years, who.fhould; on'or before the faid Thirty-firft Day of March laft, in like Manner, voluntarily enter themfelves to ferve in His Majelly's Royal Navy; and that a Reward of Five Pounds for every Able, and Two Pounds Ten Shillings for every ' Ordinary Seaman, fhould be.-paid'to any-Per-: fon, who fhquld' difcover any Seaman or Seamen who fhould fecret themfelves, fo that fuch Seaman or Seamen fhould be taken for His Majefly's faid Service- And whereas the Time limited for paying'the faid Bounties and Rewards expired on the Thirty-, ^firft of March laft ; and it being judged expedient for His Majelly's Service,' that the fame mould be continued to be paid from the faid 31ft of March, to the 31ft of May next; and that fome Alterations fhou!d be made in the Manner of Payment of the faid Bounties arid Rewards-His Majefty',. with the Advice of His Privy-Council, doth therefore Order; and it is hereby accordingly ordered, That the aforementioned Bounties of Six Pounds for every Able Seaman, and of.Three Pounds for every Ordinary , Seam.-in,'be continued to be paid to every fuch-Able and Ordinary Seaman,.not aoove the Age of Fifty, nor under the Age of Eighteen Years, who fhall, on or before the 31ft Day of May next, voluntarily enter themfelves to ferve in His Majefly's''Navy, either with the Captains or Lieutenants of His Majefly's Ship?, or the Chief Officers on Board fuch . -Tenders as lhall be employed for Raifing Men - for the Service of His Majefty's Navy ; And alfo, that the Bounty of Thirty Shillings be continued to be paid to every Able-bodied Landman not above the Age of Thirty-five, nor under the Age of Eighteen Years, ;who fhail, on or before the faid 31ft Day of May next,  voluntarily enter themfelves in like Manner to ferve in His Majelly's Royal Navy ; And that fuch refpeftive Sums be paid toallfuch Seamen atid Landmen immediately upon their Entring, by the Officers, employed in Raifing Men for His Majelly's Fleet, with whom fuch Seamen arid Landmen fhall reflectively enter ; and where there'is not any Regulating Officer, .by-the Clerk of the Cheque or Naval Officer-of any of His Majefly's Dock-'" � Price Thpee Pence. 1 yards-And His Majefty doth hereby farther Order/ ~ That the aforementioned Rewards of Five Pound!/ for every Able, and Two Pounds' Tea Shillings/ fof.' every Ordinary Seaman, be continued to be paid-lbar any Perfon who fhall difcover any Seaman or Sea* men who may fecret. themfelves; fo that fuch Self* > man or Seamen fhall be taken for His Majefty's faid � Service on or before the faid 3 f ft Day of May next* by any Sea Officers employed for raifing Men, br be brought to any of the faid Officer^ or to the Clerks of the Cheque or Naval Officer at any of His Majefly's Dock-yards :.' The fajd Rewards - to he-paid for any Seaman or Seamen ^fo difcovered and taken in and "about London, by the Principal Officers .and Commiffioners of His Majefty's Navyandr^t  the Out-Ports, by the Naval Officers where there are any; and where there are no Naval Officers, by the Officers employed in Raifing Men |;ofV in Caf�i: of there not being any fuch Officer or Officersy; by' the Collectors of His Majefly's Cuftoms, immediately/, upon a Certificate being produced to'the faid Principal Officer^  and Commiffioners'- of His Majefly's Navy, Naval Officers, Officers employed in proeo-ring Men,-or Colle&ors of His Majefly's Cuftoms refpe&ively, by the Perfon or Perfons who may make -Difcovery of any Seaman or Seamed as aforefaid> certifying his Name, and the Name or Names/_and Number of Seamen procured imConfequence oT bis Difcovery ; and the faid Certificate- to be given by fuch Officer as may take fuch Seaman oii Seamen fat' His Majelly's Service-Whereof all Perfons concerned are to take Notice, and govern themfelves' accordingly. The Danifh Troops, coft* fiftingin Cavalry and Infantry, which were cantoned in this Neighbourhood, to the Number, as it is faid/ of between Fifteen and Twenty Thoufand Mea^ broke up in the Night of the 20th and 21ft Inftant, and are marched to Oldeflok, about a, German Mile and a Half Di fiance from Lubeck,'where a Camp" is, to be formed. The Convention between the Emperor of Raffia and his Pruflian Majefty, for a General Ceflation of Hoftilities, was figned at Stargard the 16th Iaftanr^ by the Prince Wolkaufky -on the Part'of thr Former of thpfe Princes, and his Serene Highnefs the Duke of Bevern, Governor of Stettin, of the Latter. Admiralty Office, April 1. , His Majefly's Ship the Burford, commanded by Capt. Gambier, is arrived at Plymouth with the St. Pneft, a French EM -India Ship of 760 Tons' Burthen, and 2-30 Men and PafTengers, from the Iffe of Bourbon,; bound to LHDrient$ which- was -taken the iith o{ laft.Month, by His Majefly's Ship . the Valiant, bncof .the Ships which failed from-Spithead with Sir George Pococke.
