HOr8r A M at prefent fo much bulled in the Country," and at other Places, by the Seceffion of many noble Perfonages from London, that I muft be obliged to difcontinue my Lucubrations until fome ofher Occafion. I would therefore humbly advife all thofe who remain in Town during the Abfence of the Great, that they would employ themfelves in their common Methods of Procedure; for, notwithstanding, I cannot my-felf fo regularly attend on them as I could wifh, yet I (hall, as ufual, commiffion my Deputies for that Pur-pofe. I am forry that I am obliged to defert my Secretary at this Juncture j he is a Youth for whom have fome Regard; but my peculiar Occafions abfolutely require it. There are fuch extravagant Scenes of Behaviour continually repeated by thofe who are accounted Perlbns of Fafhion, that wherever they are refident it is my proper Bufinefs to encourage their Proceedings.
