The New-England Gaily, Wotton, from Bofton, is arrived at Yarmouth. LONDON. Letters arrived from Hunninguen advife, that the Governor of that Foxtrcb has confined thefather Procurator of the Premontre's of Eftival, becaufe he went without Leave to the Army of Prince Charles, and there took Safe-guards of his Highnefs for the Lands belonging to that Monastery in Lorrain and Alface. Letters from Vienna (ay, that the Grand Duke of Tuf-tany has fent a Packet to Prince Charles, containing fome Alterations to be made in the Plan of Operations of this Campaign, and that it was reported his Royal Highnefs would in all Probability take a Trip to the Army before the Winter. We hear from Chamberry, that feveral French Officers belonging to the Body of Troops aflembling at Fort Bar-reaux, are arrived in the Spanifh Camp at Montmelian ; buc whether out of Curiofity, or to fettle the Operations of the Campaign, theycan*t tell us. They write from Turin, that the Court does not difcover the leaft Upeafinefs about the Preparations of the Spaniards; that they look upon it as a Thing impracticable to penetrate into Piedmont, becaufe of the wife Meafares the King of Sardinia has taken to prevent it, and becaufe the Enemy have not Mules and Horfes enough totranfport the Provifionj and Forrage they will have Occafion for on the other Side of the Alps. We hear from Copenhagen, that the King of Denmark, has taken up above 100 Veflels to tranfport his Troops, but whither, they cannot yet inform us. They write from Rome of the 10th Inftant, N.S. that they have flint up St. Stephen's and St. Pancras*a Gates, for greater Safety againft the Plague, becaufe of the great Con-courfe of Strangers to that City j and thata few Daysic-fore thcPope^rent to the Church dedicated to St. Peter ad Vinculum* and there celebrated a low Mafi at the Altar of St. Sebaftian, Prote&or of Rome againft the Plague; but left be fltould have no great Crowd about him, his Holinefs granted three Days of Indulgence to all that heard Mafe at that Altar, in order to quicken their Devotion.
