living some miles south of the city was united in marriage to Miss Laura M Dodds The young couple start in their new life with the well wishes of man friends The friends of Will McVay iu this city will be grieved to note the follow ing from the Rushville Republican Mr and Mrs Will McVay are mourn ing the loss of their bright little babe It has been in delicate health foi several months and its death occurred Friday night after a brief attack of sickness They have the earnest sympathy of many friends A pleasant reception was given at the residence of Mr Win Shannahan in the East End last evening in honor of his son John Shannahan who was married at Elkhart this week and who with his bride arrived in the city yesterday on a few days visit Young Mr Shannahan and his charming bride were the recipent of many well wishes and congratulations The members of the St Bridgets Catholic church who have been in charge of the fair at the rink have kindly consented to make a special ef fort to clear the rink by Monday noon in time for the Reed meeting and it will be held at that place The citi zens are under obligations for the courtesies shown in this arrangement since while the rink is
