Ninth street Christian church It is edited by Rev S W Brown who announces tho purpose of tho very creditable publication in the following salutatory Tho Christian Cherch News begins life with this issue It ii neither largo nor strong but it not only hopes to live but to be able also to visit its patrons and readers onco a month for the coming year at least Its mission is identical with that oi goes forth on Us mission A Damagliic Blazo Mr Pratt of tho Journal and pro prietor of the Indiana Newspaper Union at Indianapolis Buttered a con siderable loss by fire at the latter place yesterday afternoon Tho loss will reach more than covered by insurance Tho Indianapolis News says of the fire Fire was discovered by workmen this afternoon in the cellar threestory brick building at 20 South Tennessee street occupied by the Indiana Newspaper Union Tho lire department was immediatoly call ed and found the flames exceedingly hard to get at through the small grated windows of the cellar The
