Hearing adjorns UEGINA (CP) The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission has adjourned its public inquiry into the firing of a city employee to allow a court to clear up a jurisdic- tional dispute. V. B. Singh of Regina has charged he was fired by the city March 13 because of his race, color and nationality. He brought the city before the commission under the Fair Employment Practices Act. But Ross Wimmer, lawyer for the city, argued the act ex- cludes non-profit corporations from its terms of fair employment and said the city is included in this classification. The commission adjourned for about 15 minutes to con- sider whether it had jurisdicti- on to deal with the case. Following the adjournment, Jude Tillie Taylor, commissi- on chairman, said it did, but Mr. Wimmer challenged that decision. The case will go before Court of Queen's Bench for a ruling on jurisdiction.
