Leases shell be for a period not exceeding 21 years, and no leaeeshall cover * greater area than 100,000 acres. Lands leased are not subject to homestead entry or sale, but the Minister of the Interior may cancel a leasehold, or any portion thereof bygivlag the lessee two years' not -ice. The rental chargeable U two cents per, acre per annum. A lease . *aanot be granted an applicant unless ha owns one head ot cattle or Ave head of sheep for every 60 acres applied tor, and the lessee shall increase his stock so as to bo in possession at the end of three years of one head of cattle or five taeaid of sheep for every 20 acres leased, and hall maintain stock in this proportion during the continuance of the lease. Sheep-grazing is permitted on only a portion of the tracts above referred to.
