The Bomber offence, almost non-existent in a 23-2 loss to the Eskimos in Edmonton last week, has been bolstered by the addition of Dave Buchanan and the return to form of fullback John Bled- soe. Buchanan, the leading rusher when he played for Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1972. replaces Jim Poulos who was released last week. Buchanan will start at halfback for Win- nipeg in the non-televised game. Halfback Bledsoe sat out the last half of the Edmonton game because of a minor in- jury, but he ran at full speed in practice. Edmonton coach.Ray Jauch said Winnipeg starting quarterback Chuck Ealey, ob- tained from Hamilton in a re- cent trade, has had a week to prepare and should give more punch to the Bomber offence. The Winnipeg defence has had its problems against the run this year, but Jauch be- lieves his team will be facing "a rested, different team." They'll be more than ready for us tonight." The only change in the Bombers defence is middle linebacker Bob Pritchett, a University of Utah graduate who has replaced Chuck Strickland. The Eskimos have added Craig Koinzan from Calgary Stampeders and Morris Noble of Washington State. Koinzan will start at right tackle. Edmonton will be attempting to add to its lead atop the WFC standings while Winnipeg tries to stay in the battle for the third and final playoff spot. The Bombers aren't likely to forget their last game against Edmonton when Tom Wilkinson attempted a drop kick in the final moments, a move many thought was an attempt to add injury to defeat. But Jauch said that won't happen again.
