John of Cole man, passed away in the Orowsnest Pass Hospital Mon day, September 14, 1970, at age 77 years. He was born in Stu shence, Russia on Januray 20 1893. He came to Canada in 1912 to Hosmer, B.C. and came to Coleman around 1935 anc lias lived here since. He was a bachelor and worked as a miner in the mines at Hosmer Drumheller and in the International Mines at Coleman unti .ts closure. He served in the First World War in France. She was nited in marriage to Albert ones in 1900. They moved to Alberta in 1908 where they lomesteaded near Travers for 5 years. In 1943 they retired to Eckville. After her husband's eath, Fannie Jones continued o make Eckville her home ntil August 19, 1953, when she married Mr. Benge of Benkelman, Nebraska. She moved to enkelman and made her home lere until the time of her pass-ng. Besides her husband Jess enge, she is survived by three ons, William Jones of Medi-ine Hat, Leonard Jones of lex and Murl Jones of Clares-iolm, one step son Boyd ienge of Benkelman; thr e e aughters, Mrs. Al (Belle) Jreenman of Eckville, Mrs. J. Edith) Fraser of Carmangay nd Mrs. Fred (Vera) Stamp Enchant; 28 grandchildren; ;5 great grandchildren and p-eat great grandchildren; our step grandchildren and ne step great-grandchildren. 3ne son Lloyd predeceased her n 1937.
