The industrial Index, consid- ered a major indicator of mar- ket trend, slipped .36 to 210.44, gdlds .61 to 201.62, base metals .09 to 94.11 and western oils .30 to 250.49. Volume by 11 a.m. was 000 shares, down slightly from the shares traded by the same time Thursday. Sectors of the market contrib- uting lo its decline were com- munication, food product, gen- eral manufacturing and real es- tate stocks while oil rcfiniug, steel, bank and beverage issues managed fractional advances.
