NEW YORK (AP) Stock ma-ket prices edged lower in moderate trade today, continu- ing the decline of late last week. The Dow Jones average of 30 industrials at noon was off 1.39 at 909.61. Declines outnumbered advances on the New York Stock Exchange by nearly 3 to 2. Analysts said the market was suffering some mild profit tak- ing and was reflecting investor uncertainty over what course the U.S. economy might take after the 90-day wage-price freeze ends.
