Rolfson. Funeral services will be held in Salt Lake City, following which the remains will be forwarded to Canada, where a funeral service will be held in Raymond Third Ward LDS Chapel on Thursday, September 13 at 2 p m.. with Bishop Ronald H. Mr. John Leister at the age of 87 years of 1226 12th Street C North, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Anna Leister. Born and raised in Ternitz. Vienna. Austria, the late Mr. Leister came to Canada in 1907 to the Fort Steele-Crowsnest area. In 1909 he returned to Vienna where he married the former Anna Eidler a year later. In 1912 they came to Canada to the Nobleford area and in 1915 to Lethbridge. where he was employed by the CPR. In 1919 they moved to Vienna return- ing" to Lethbridge in 1923. In 1924 they moved to Stirling where he farmed until 1945 retiring into Lethbridge. where he has resided until his passing He was interested in music since.the age of 13 and was an accomplished musi- cian and active in the music field until the age of 81 years. He is survived by two sons. John H. Liester of Eugene. Oregon. Fred A. Leister of Lethbridge: one daughter, Mrs Eleonora M. Taylor of Lethbridge, one brother. Mr. Karl Leister in Vienna, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
