Born in Portcrshill, Ontario in 1881, the late Mr. Hill was educated in Toronto, moved to Lethbridge in 1893 vhere he completed his educa-ion and has resided here until iis passing. Upon completion of his education he joined his father in the pioneer business of E. J. Hill and Company, re-iring in 1927. He was a very active sportsman in fishing and hunting, and also a life member of the North Star Masonic Lodge No. 4 of Lethbridge Besides his loving wife he is also survived by one son Edgar Lawrence Hill of Leth-iridge and one daughter Mrs. C. Mr. Thompson was born in Manchester, England on February 7, 1920, and came to Canada in 1957 making his home in Lethbridge, where he worked until moving to Creston where he managed the Interior Building Supply Co. for the past four years. While living in England he had been a member of the Armed Forces and saw service during the entire Second World War. In Creston he was a member, of the Kiwanis Club and interested in community affairs. Left to mourn his passing besides his loving wife Joyce are; two sons, John and Derek both at home, a brother and sister living hi England, and several nieces and nephews also in England.. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother. Funeral services 'will be -held in the Chris-tensen Chapel on Saturday September 12, 1970 at 2 p.m., with Hev. R. L. Crisfield officiating. Born in England on September 10, 1894, she was united in marriage to Evan Evans in England in 1920, sailing for Canada a few days later, settling in the Lethbridge district. Later she moved to Cardston and then to Taber, Alberta where they resided for the past 40 years, moving to Sylvan Lake in 1968. In July 1970 Mrs. Evans celebrated 50 years of marriage. Mrs. Evans was active in the Red Cross in both the First and Second World Wars. Predeceased by one son in 1942, she is survived by her loving husband Evan of Sylvan Lake; one son Brian of Edmonton; two daughters, Mrs. G. (Mary) Bowman of Sylvan Lake awl Mrs. J. R. (Gwen) Johnson of Ft. McMurray; 13 grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Eventide Funeral Chapel, Sylvan Lake on Friday, September 11, 1970 (today) at p.m., Rev. John Yoos officiated.
