He said, however, that a con- ductor has not yet been en- gaged for the March-April Eu- ropean tour. Mr. Homburger said some of the season's guests may be con- sidered for the permanent post but the choices were dictated exclusively by a desire to en- gage the best conductors avail- able. Guest conductors will include: Pierre Hetu, 37-year-old Mon- treal-born music director of ths Edmonton Symphony Orches- tra; Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, music director of the Minnesota Orchestra; Gabor Otvos, 38- year-old Hungarian-bom gen- eral music director of opera and concerts in Augsburg, Ger- many Mario Bernardi. music director of the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Otlav.-a; El- mer Iseler, music director and conductor of the Toronto Men- delssohn choir. Kazimierz Kord, director of the Polish National Television and Radio Orchestra; Edo De Waart, 33-year-old conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic- Andrew Davis, 29-year-old for- mer associate conductor of the British Broadcasting Commis- sion Scottish Symphony and Eduardo Mata, 31-year-old con- ductor of the Orquesta Sinfonica Nicional of Mexico.
