In lieu of flowers, donations to Society appreciated. 995 THOMPSON Passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 1974, Edward Thompson, aged 76 years, beloved hus- band of Pauline Thompson of Fort Macleod. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he came to Fort Macleod in 1910 and resided on his father's farm, attending school in the Howe district and in Fort Macleod. He married Pauline Stockton in Fort Macleod in 1924. They farmed until moving to Fort Macleod in 1952, when he join- ed the National Paving Co. and later surveyed with the government. In 1959 he purchased the Fort Macleod Billiards, which he operated until his retirement in 1966. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge No. 129 of Fort Macleod and had served as Exalted Ruler and Deputy District Grand Exalted Ruler. He was predeceased by his father in 1918, his mother in 1940. a brother Frank and sister. Mrs. Florence Bailey. Besides his wife, he is surviv- ed by two nephews and seven nieces; one sister, Mrs. Pansy Baldwin in Michigan. The funeral service will be held in Eden's Funeral Chapel, 2424 5th Ave..
