On Sunday. Sep- tember 6, p.m. CTV will re-telecast The Golden Age Of The Automobile, a look at the adventurous and colorful era that marked the arrival of the 'horseless carriage' and the beginning of that affair. One of the highlights of the Special is a look at the historic 1903 overland race from New York to Paris. The race, with Six contestants from Germany France, Italy and the U.S. was won by an American, Thomas Flyer, and covered 13341 miles in 88 driving days. As Anne Boleyn, Miss Chan- ning writes about her problems to an "advice to the lovelorn" columnist. MacMiuray, as Shakespeare, and Carney, as Sir Frances Bacon, have a far-out discus- sion about some of the Bard's plays. MacMurray and Carney are also teamed as Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick, Wat- son, in a skit involving expense accounts. In another sketch, Jarney plays Dr. Jekyll and fc Hyde, with an assist from MacMurray. Gielgud, acclaimed as one of he best Shakespearean actors of all time, displays his dancing and singing skills as he orns Miss Channing for a soft- shoe rendition of "Tea for Two" and a duet of "Mad Dogs and Englishmen."
