The centre had a very successful tea and bake sale recently. CLUB PAINTED RED DETROIT (AP) An anonymous group of women claimed credit for a pre-dawn paint attack on the outside walls of a new Playboy club in Detroit. The club was smeared with red paint, police said. The incident was follow- ed by an anonymous news release critical of the use of women as Bunnies. La Bpheme coming to Lethbridge Ann Landers Puccini's opera La Boheme will be staged in Lethbridge Nov. 5 at p.m. in the Yates Memorial Centre. The opera is the first in the Overture Concert Series' 1974-75 program. Produced by the Canadian Opera Touring Company, the opera features perform- ances by John Arab and Barbara Collier, shown above. Conductor for the production is Errol Gay; Jan Rubes is the director. Overture Concert Series tickets are available from Leister's Music. Dear Ann Landers: It will skip over the details and pose two direct questions. One: How i important is sex in marriage? Two: Is it possible to be in love with someone (such as a husband) without having the Desire to be physically close to that person I mean there is no biological urge whatever to have him touch me. Please, Ann, give no hint as to where this letter came from. I can't take the chance of being identified by anyone. Totally Confused Dear Totally: Sorry, but I need to know a great deal more than you've told me before I can give you an answer to your first question Here are some examples of the missing links: How old are you? How old is your husband? Is this your first marriage? Why did you marry him? How much sexual ex- perience have you had? Is your husband interested in sex? Is there any other man in your life like perhaps someone who really turns you on? If not, do you feel you are being cheated out of something important or does your marriage have other compensating factors? Two: There is no blanket answer to that question. It is possible to have a good marriage with very little sex if both parties have low sex drives but they have compen- sating elements, such as respect, admiration, similar interests, and sometimes but not always children they enjoy. (Married sex troubles arise when a "Secretariat" is hitch- ed up to a candidate for the glue factory.) Dear Ann Landers: Please say a word to the mothers who are keeping their bachelor sons tied to their apron strings. Don't these women realize they are depriving their sons of a normal, natural life? I know at least five un- married men in this town who are attractive, bright and successful. They rarely, if ever, ask a woman for a date. Why? Because they spend most of their evenings enter- taining their mothers. What are these fellows go- ing to do when their mothers die? Visit the cemetery every night? Please print my letter for every selfish, domineering mother in the world to read. They'll recognize themselves. Moreover, they need to know that Someone Is Watching Dear Watching: Marriage is not for everyone. Some of the men you are talking about don't want to be married and it's just as well. They'd probably make rotten husbands. A male with a normal, healthy attitude toward life could not be dominated by his He wouldn't stand for it. So please remember the choo-choo runs both ways. That attractive, bright, successful guy who entertains his mama every night wants it that way or he'd be doing something else.
