Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - October 29, 1970, Lethbridge, Alberta Thimduy, Odebir WO THI irfHMIDGI HtKALD H Pilot Dies In Flight SAN FRANCISCO (AP) The pilot at a Trans World Air- lines plane died in flight of an apparent heart attack Wednes- day night but the Chicago-to-San Francisco flight landed safely in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with 54 persons aboard, an airline here said. The spokesman identified the dead pilot as Capt. Herbert Snively, 49, of Glen EUyn, HI. said Snively was taken to hospital k Cedar Eapids, where he was pronounced dead. The spokesman said the first officer, Edward W. Connely, 38, of Woodland Hills, Calif., took over the controls and landed the plane safely in Cedar Rapids. Business Drops In Montreal MONTREAL (CP) The usually booming fall business for restaurants, art galleries, boutiques, theatres and depart- ment stores interviewed has dropped an average of 40 per cent since the beginning of the kidnapping crisis.
