The local market was extremely strong on small volume of trade, r Wheat opened higher and never look-1 ed weak. The domestic situation is j tight. Private reports give most un- favorable weather over the west. The wheat is weakly held but on every break one of the local export firms, who are thought to he government Agents here, starts buying. The trade is so small and the offerings so light that it takes very little buying to sup- port the market. The bulk of the trade today seemed speculative with the situation strong. Cash trade was poor in wheat. The top grades were not wanted while even the lower grades fell off from unchanged to 2c lower. The trade is mostly local with the millers taking onlv an occasional car.
