Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - October 9, 1970, Lethbridge, Alberta THE LETHBRIDGE HE8ALD, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1970 World Series Broadcast To Be Telecast In Chinese Baseball is more than the national pastime. During World Series time A is definitely an interna- tional sport, thanks to televi- sion. For the first time In his- tory, the -World Series will be broadcast in the Chinese lan- guage by the China Televi- sion Company. This play-by- play telecast will be mitted via delayed tape, in color, to all of Taiwan. The World Series, which will be colorcast by the NBC Television Network starting in the ball park of the Na- tional League Champion Sat- urday, Oct. 10, also will be colorcast in Canada (the play- by- play in French and Eng- lish) and in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Bermuda, Pan- ama, the Virgin Islands, Bra- zil and the Philippines (the play-by-play in SIGNED TO STAR Academy Award winner Cliff Robertson has been signed to star in and produce and direct I Shot Down the Red Think.
