In 1918 he went to the Royal Military Col-ege in Kingston, Ontario, gradating in 1921. Following his rraduation from R.M.C., Mr. [uckvale returned to Alberta vhere he articled with a Calgary firm. Ha was admitted to lie bar in 1924 with a gold medalist standing and has been n practice siace that time. During the Second World Wcr ilr. Huckvale went overseas in 940 as a lieutenant colonel in charge of the Second Anti-Tank legiment, a unit comprised of iatterles from Lethbridge and Macleod. He served in England until 1943, when he went to taly as a brigadier in command of the First Canadian Group, Royal Artillery, and won mention in disoatches and efficiency medal for his actions. A tireless community worker he was at various times president of Ihe Alberta Cancer jociety, president of the Leth-jridge Progressive Conserva-jve Association and a bencher rf the Alberta Law Society Sxeculive Committee. He served one term as a Lethbridge Alderman from 1948 to 1951. He was the highest ranking army officer in Lethbridge. Besides his loving wife, Jane, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. R. M. (Virginia) Gordon of -.ausanne, Switzerland, Mrs. E. J. (Sydney) Radkowski of Palo Alto, California; five grandchildren; one sister, Miss Eleanor Huckvale of Palo Alto, California; one brother, Dr. W. S. Sidney Huckvale of Vancouver. The funeral service will be held Monday at 3 p.m., in Saint Augustine's Anglican Church, Rev. R. L. Crisfield officiating. Cremation will follow. Duane Forsylh, Welling sale leads to charge OTTAWA (CP) A Toronto man has been charged with using forgery to buy from the government B Sabre jet that later crashed in California, killing 22 people. Warren Grainger was brought to Ottawa by city detectives Friday after his arrest Thursday night. He will appear in court Monday. The plane was bought from Crown Assets Disposal Corp. in 1970. Last Sept. 24 it smashed into an ice cream parlor near an airfield. It is alleged that Oshawa Ont., requested purchase of one Sabre jet for display in a museum in June, 1970. But when the request form reached Crown Assets, the num her allegedly had been changed lo two. A Croivn assets spokesman said Ihe bearer of the form was given an invoice for two of the Korean War-vintage jets, to be picked up in London, Ont., for each. Only one of the planes was delivered to Uie Oshawa mu scum. The otlier crashed in the California accident. The spokesman said he did not know how the second plane came to be flying in the Stales. He said Ihe planes are sold only as nirfrnmes, witliou engines or instruments. As an added precaution, main spar is cut to "ensure i can't be flown."
