An announcement said Tuesday that Brook, 87, died Sunday. Brook became an actor in his 30s after working in an in- surance company. He reached the peak of his fame in the 1930s with such films as The Four Feathers, an epic of British derring do in the Sudan in the 1880s. He went to Hollywood in 1924. the silent movie era. and played opposite such leading ladies as Tallulah Bankhead and Marlene Dietrich. His most recent film role was in 1962 with American ac- tor George C. Scott in The List of Adrian Messenger. Cause of death was not dis- closed.
