The artist's alter ego Popular cartoon character On Saturday, November 18 at 7 p.m., the CTV Television Net- work welcomes its viewers to "The World of Charlie Brown and Charles Schulz." Through a combination of animated illus- trations and live film action, the prosram takes an entertaining look at the popular little car- toon character, Charlie Brown, and the artist who created him, Charles Schulz. The program begins at the lime when there was only one Charlie because Charlie Brown and Charles Schulz, as children, were one and the same. Over the years many of Jazz singer Freda Payne is featured guest A Tut of Rood music n n arts of the country, will take >art in the 26th "Miss Canada Pageant." The event, held in Toronto and telecast live across Canada on the CTV Television Network at p.m. is the climax of a long series of re- gional and provincial competi- ,ions to select the 1973 Miss Canada. ___ Hosting the CTV Special will be Jim Perry and Carole Tay- or. Mr. Perry is currently host of CTV's "Eye Bet" and "Head- line Hunters" while Miss Tay- or is seen each morning on Canada AM." Judging the girls are Mrs. Patricia Gwyer, a beauty fashion consultant, Edith Serei, television hostess and beauty advisor, Arto Ca- voufc, portraitist, Robert Dub- berley, general manager of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Ca- nadian actor, Gordon Pinseot, currently starring in the movie "The Rowdyman." Following the opening pa- rade by the twenty eight re- gional finalists and the intro- duction oE the panel of judges, the contestants take part in the evening gown parade. Ten semi-finalists are chosen, who then appear in swim wear. From these ten. the five final- ists are selected. The film, the work of award- winning French film-maker Pi- erre Gaisseau. was widely praised when seen on CBC-TV last January, and it was later sold to NBC for telecast in thfl United States.
