Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - November 5, 1974, Lethbridge, Alberta 6 THE LETHBRIDGE HERALD TuMday, November 5, 1974 Television star on 10-city tour to sell DICKCAVETT LOS ANGELES (AP) He seemed like any ti a veiling author hustl- ing fiom radio to televi sion stations to hawk his book But he wasn t just any author He was Dick Cavett here on a 10-city tour to sell Cavett which he wrote with Christopher Porterfield his Yale roommate and now a member of his television staff After years of inter- viewing authors on his late night talk show, (avett now finds him- self on the other side of the microphone 1 It s different he suid You find yourself groping with those general questions like, Tell us your most em- barrassing moment on the air or 'Who are the most fascinating people vou have had on vour show' I am taken slightly aback and have to think a while I suppose I should have answers ready for such ques- tions, but I hate to do that In Los.
