Ll'NN Special t'on riNCHER CREEK An Op- portunilies for Youth project here lias been approved by the federal government. A grant of has been okayed for the establishment of a tourist booth, tourist survey and related guiding services in the town. The project will run for about 11 weeks. It will employ 11 students throughout its dura- tion. The tourist booth will involve Hie welcoming of tourists to Pineher Creek. Visitors will be asked to fill out questionnaires about tour- ism in Alberta and an evalua- tion of these replies along with field research will be contained In the tourist survey. Signs will be erected inform- ing tourists of interesting side- trips. Support for this project was received from the Pineher Creek Chamber of Commerce, the Pineher Creek MD and the Southern Alberta Tourist Asso- ciation Tile survey is the only one of JU kind in Canada which in- volves a community of this size. The group would like to ex- tend its appreciation to AI Bre- wer, the department of youth representative. He was most helpful in starting this project. Wayne Pinkney helped organ- ize the project and will act as a resource person during the summer. Frank Smith, manager of EATA, will aid in training the group and helped to procure
