LOS ANGELES (AP) The woman responsible for export- ing All in the Family and San- ford and Son from England is back in the United States with a third adaptation from a British series. Beryl Vertue's third effort is called Thicker Than Water and will be seen this summer on ABC. Thicker Than Water is about an unloving brother and sister drawn together for the common cause of waiting for father to die so they can inherit his sickle factory. It stars Julie Harris and Richard Long as the sister and jrother. This is the first foreagn sale for this 90- minute film by Harry Rasky. Also purchased by the Aus- tralian Broadcasting Commis- sion are two other CBC-TV productions: Fabre, a Man at the Ccnfire special on the noted French entomologist; and the complete series of One North- ern Summer, produced by TV schools and youth department. In addition to these sales to the public owned Australian network, six one-hour documen- taries have been sold by CBC- TV to the commercial network in Australia. These are: The Living Arctic, a production of CBC arts and sciences; The Mrail of St. Helena, a Tues- 4v Night film produced by GDC Vancouver; Virginquest, :rom TV features; Voyage to The Sea of Ice, from TV agri- culture and resources; Pata- gonia, a CBC Vancouver pro- duction; and Wild Africa: Something New, a Nature of Things special. In other parts of the world Scottish Television has purchased 10 episodes of the CBC-TV film drama hall-hour series, To See Ourselves. The Tender Branch, one episode of the same drama series, has additionally been sold to the Sveriges Radio (television net- work) in Sweden. 20th production "Brimstone, the Amish on NBC-TVs "Wonder- ful World of Disney" May 27, is the 20th production for pro- ducer director Larry Lans- burgh, recipient of two Oscar Awards for his documentary feature, "The Horse With the Flying Tail" and his live-action short subject, "The Wetback Hound" both made for Dis- ney.
