Myers High School at Taber, has been named the Taber school division's "teacher of the year." He is a W. R. Myers grad- uate. Board chairman Heber Anderson presented a special award at a recent board dinner. Employs 15 sludents Chris Upton, left, and Jill Ingram head a Opportunities for Youth program at Blairmore. It will employ 15 students. They will landscape the swimming pool area and construct a "trim a hike with exercise and rest stations. A leadership program will also be held. An application for an addi- tion was refused by the devel- opment officer. An appeal against his deci- sion was made to council. It also said it should not take place. There are several homes in the commercial area and coun- cil said additions to these would not be allowed. Grade 4 pupils win first dip in pool COALDALE (HNS) Grade 4 pupils from the south area of the County of Lethbridge, in- cluding this town, will be the first to swim in the Coaldale Sportsplex pool. The pool will become opera- tional for the Victoria Day weekend. Council approved a request from County of Lethbridge schools for a Grade 4 school leam-to-swim program. There will be six classes with a total of about 135 pupils.
