He received word; yesterday that he has passeil his final and is now a full-fledged pharmacist. Funeral of E. J. James-navies The funeral of the late E. J. James- Davies, a former prominent citizen of Jrassy Lake, who died at Victoria last will take place Saturday after- noon at 2 o'clock from Fetterly's undertaking parlors, Lethbridge. Tho funeral will proceed to St. Aiigustln'a church where a service-will be held by Kev. Interment will take place in St. Augustin's ceme- tery. Mr. Jauies-Davies was survived by his wife and one sou, Maurice. An- other son. Vincent, died in Lethbriilge last fall while in training here with the 39th battery. There was a full 'attendance of ministers and laymen, iwith Rev.'A. Barnes, missionary sup- Urintendent. 'Hey. 0. H. Cobbledick. chairman of the district, presided. Rev. J B. Francis was financial secretary, and Rev. G. G. Pybus of Barons was elected journal secretary, and Rev. J M Fawcett, statistical secretary. James A. Eyres, Iron Springs, and the young men at college, have all passed their examinations success- ully. There are 799 members of tbc church in the district and 584 fami- ies. The amount raised for missions jure and simple is ?1702, IncUwHnx he Women's Missionary Society. The charges contributed ?4113 for minis- terial support and for connox- bnal funds, and J21.033 for all pur- )oses. There are ten Sunday schools with an entire force of 1245, which con-, tributed for missions and [or all purposes. The following laymen were elected as delegates to conference: Dr. J. H. Rivers, R.
