C.P.R., A "TRUSTY" Old TRIED TO SOUND ALARM Prisoner May Get His Freedom From Kingston Penitentiary Kingston, Ont, May 10.-The whole of the story of the escape of the five desperadoes from the penitentiary last Monday is coming out! It develops that an old- prisoner,- who did chores in the isolation building, from which the escape was made, tried to ring the alarm bell when he Baw what was happening. . He was detected by McNeil and the Mecums, and was brutally attacked. One of the vicious convicts kicked him in the stomach, while another beat him with an iron bar into insensibility.
