Administered under Division 3 by the County of Leth- bridge, the community traces its origins back 1o the Galf Mine No. 6 era. The mine was one of three amalgamated in 1935 to form the Lethbridge Collieries Ltd., general manager, Donald Livingstone explained. Water and sewage services were turned on last fall, encouraging the construction of several new homes in the community. A modern school (above right) caters for elementary education. Older children are transported to Coaldale for high school classes. ;
