Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - May 1, 1973, Lethbridge, Alberta Lady of the Year Because of her many contributions lo the community, Eleanor Ho'royd has been named Lady of the Year by the combined chapters of Beta Sigma Phi. Mrs. Holroyd is most notable for her involvement in the Rsd Cross Society, particularly the blocd dcnor clinic, during the past 21 years. She is also active in the First United Church, a a past president of the Quota Club, a past matron of (he Order of the Eastern Star, and still finds time to drive mental patients on a weekly outing and to visit invalids in hospitals and nursing homes. Mrs. Holroyd was born in Washington, U.S.A. ond moved to Canada in the early 1920s, corning to Lethbridge 11 years ago. After gradua- ting from the University of Calgary she married the late Dean Holroyd cf Warner in 1935. She has two children ond five grandchildren. LETHBRIDGE FISH 4GAMEASSOC. AT 8 P.M.
