Lethbridge Herald (Newspaper) - March 30, 1973, Lethbridge, Alberta MO! 3 Is 13 lucky or unlucky, Tim Conway isn't sure Tim Conway can't decide whether "13" is a lucky or unlucky number. The comedy actor has red in two television each of which lasted 13 weeks. Did it bother him? So much so, that he ordered personalized license plates reading "13 WKS." Next he found himself enjoying a busy career in television as a guest star on variety shows, fie has been on nearly all of them - many times on several. There is hardly a week that you can't find a show featuring Tim Conway. "If you can't be a top banana, being a second banana is not at all bad," says Tim. Conway is essentially- a semi-regular on NBC-TV's "The Flip Wilson Show." Flip likes working with Conway perhaps more than any other comedic actor and, therefore, Conway has done 11 Wilson shows. "Our minds," he said, "just seem to click together onstage. K I think of a good ad-lib, he's ready with the right response and vice versa. We are always getting away from the script and then getting back . to it without panicking our director." Conway is wcrried, however. For the three seasons Flip's show has aired, he has been a guest on the final show taped in each season, thereby closing the season. "Closing the season is OK, but I hate to think of closing the who'e show," says Conway. "But,:if I do two:more of Flip's shows I will have done 13, and that number, so far, always ^means something final."
