M115 Warrack to speak here Friday Alberta's minister of lands and forests, Allan Warrack. will be the guest speaker at Friday's noon session of the Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs. Mr. Warrack will speak on Southern Alberta's largest wildlife problem, pheasants. He will tour the area and observe pheasant habitat Friday morning. Lethbridge regional wildlife biologist Morley Barrett will also address the meeting. The session will be held at Sven Ericksen's Family Restaurant. Trustee explains strap policy Trustee Reg Turner highlighted the monthly meeting of .the Lethbridge council of home and schools Monday with a speech on corporal punishment. Mr, Turner clarified the public school board's new policy on corporal punishment and also discussed new innovations in public school education that are designed to help youngsters get along in life. The public school board banned corporal punishment from its schools in December. The council was also informed that the Alberta Federation of Home and School Associations endorsed family life education for schools at its annual "convention this month. About 70 per cent of the convention delegates voted in favor of family life education instruction in Alberta LCI schedules parents' night A program for parents of students at the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute will be held Wednesday at p.m. in the LCI gym.
