Exciting action is on tap at the Lethbridge Exhibition Pavilion Saturday, March 30 when the LCC LCC rodeo ready to go presents its third annual indoor rodeo. Incidentally, this cowboy and friend soon parted company with the bull anxious for a rematch and the cowboy coming away none the worse for wear.1 There are literally hundreds of things you can do to make it so. This will be the initial rodeo of the five-rodeo Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association circuit. Looking back at the winners of the first indoor LCC event shows the high calibre of cowboys in competition on the circuit. Among the winners were men now established on other rodeo circuits, including Tommy Ross, the Chinook amateur circuit saddle bronc king last year; another former Chinook standout and now a professional hand, Bob Wilson; established Chinook circuit regulars Randy Broadhead and Glen Thompson as well as highly regarded young bull rider Kelvin Fox. Last year Glen Griffith of Calgary won the all round championship at the Lethbridge rodeo but two LCC cowboys were right behind him. Both Glen Thompson and Oscar Walters won an event and pressed Griffith for the LCC all round title. The gals have also made their .presence felt in college rodeo circles, competing in the barrel race and the entertaining goat tying events. This year's edition of the LCC indoor rodeo should prove as thrilling, dangerous and entertaining as the two previous efforts. Contestants representing the LCC, SAIT, NAIT, Mount Royal College, Olds, Vermilion, Kamloops, B.C. and the universities of Lethbridge, Saskatchewan and Alberta are expected to be entered. Bob Peltier will handle the announcing duties while the judging chores are in the Boxing clinic A boxing clinic, to upgrade and qualify boxing officials in preparation for the Canada Winter Games slated for Lethbridge and Southern Alberta in February of 1975. will be held March 29 and 90 at the Claresholm high school.
