C8167 NELSON Anne Elizabeth of Lethbridge passed away in Calgary on Monday, March Ifjth. 1974 at the age of 88 years. Mrs. Nelson was born in Monroe, Utah, December 18th, 1885 and came to Canada in 1901 settling in Stirling. She was married, to Leonard Nelson in 1910 and they homesteaded in the Wrentham district. Following her husband's death in 1929 she moved back to Stirling, living there until 1961 when she moved to Lethbridge residing at 2404-10 Ave. S. She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Fern) Hirsche, .Mrs. Lavel (Hazel) Eliason, and Mrs. Melva (Ted) Hartley all of Lethbridge: 20 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1929 and by a daughter, Norma Oler in 1951. Funeral services will be held in the 10 Ave. L.D.S. Chapel on Thursday, March 21st at 1 p.m.. with Bishop Clifford J. After her marriage to Bill Chester she resided in Lethbridge until March 1973 when she moved to Calgary where she has resid- ed until her passing. She was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary for the Shrine Hospitals and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Besides her loving husband she is survived by three daughters. Mrs. L. Jensen of Edmonton. Miss Glenna Chester of Calgary. Miss Debbie Chester of Lethbridge. two granddaughters: her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sinclair of Kamloops, B.C.; one sister, Mrs. J. Born m Fargo, North Dakota, the late Mrs. Norbraten came to Canada to Winnipeg in her early years, then to Calgary in 1927 where she married her first husband, Easton Halland, who predeceased her in 1948. She moved to Lethbridge in 1963 where she has resided until her passing. The graveside service will be held at p.m. on Friday, March 22, 1974 in the Family Plot. The police, under orders to shoot looters on sight, were reported to have opened fire on at least six occasions in Patna. the state capital about 500 miles southeast of New Delhi. There was no estimate of casualties today. Five persons were reported dead and 60 in- jured Monday. The army doubled its patrols in Patna. but mobs continued looting and setting fire to buildings- State officials asked for more troops. An official spokesman said crowds were attacking stores and burning them in "count- less" other towns across the state.
