All the thrills of the final, deciding game from the Megeve tournament will be made available to Canadians across the country with a special CBC- TV telecast, live and in color via satellite from the Megeve Palais de Sports, Saturday, March 20 at 12 noon over channel 7. Since the world championship began in 1959 Canada has won the title 10 out of the last 12 times. Other countries taking part in this year's tournament are Scotland, the U.S., Sweden, Norway, Germany, France and Switzerland. Following his success in the BBC-produced series telecast in Britain last year (and now seen there in repeats on BBC-1), Michell made another personal triumph as Abelard in a West End production of Abelard and Hekise. Having repeated that success during a ran of the play in Los Angeles, he is now appearing on Broadway in Abelard and Heloise. In the six episodes of The Six Wives of Henry VIH (the series runs through to April 25 on CBC-TV), MicheU portrays the often-married Henry as seen through the eyes of each of bis half-dozen Queens. Yet he had to create a cohesive character from this multi-faceted approach. In the six 90-minute episodes of The Six Wives of Henry VTJI, Michell is starred opposite (in chronological order): Annette Crosbie as Catherine of Aragon (for CBC-TV telecast March 21), Dorothy Tutin as Anne Boleyn (March 28), Anne StaUybrass as Jane Seymour (April 4), EM Hale as Anne of Cleves (April 11), Angela Pleasence as Catherine Howard (April 18), and Rosalie Crutch-ley as Catherine Parr (April 25). In the course of the series, Keith Michell as Henry VIII ages from a youth of 18 to an ill old man of 56 - from the slender boy king to the obese and debauched monarch, a transformation greatly aided by whalebone and canvas, foam rubber padding and false gums and teeth. ( John Bloomfield. costume designer, created some 300 costumes for the entire series. Many of the lavishly-detailed costumes are currently exhibited at London's Victoria and Albert Museum. Keith Michell is no stranger to costume roles, for be had several seasons at London's classical Old Vic theatre, and worked at England's Stratford with such titans of the theatre as Sir Laurence Olivier. Belivemi - a film portrait Marcus Welby looks like No. 1 Marcus Welby looks like a shoo-in for the top show of the season. Flip Wilson is doing O.K. but is slipping with men over 18. Disney is the long - term top contender with 41,140,000 watching in the first February Nielsen report. JEAN BELIVEAU "Poetry in action'' is how a post described the skating and hockey playing of Jean Beliveau. Beliveau is more than a great hockey player or successful businessman, he is a Quebec folk hero. He is a man admired for his gentle humor and personal dignity, for his love of family and warm intelligence. The CTV Television Network on Monday, March 22, 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. on channel 13 presents a special documentary titled simply Beliveau.
