Mflligan, president of the Purple Springs Board of Trade, in reply to a telegram saying that the Board had unanimously endoraad the agreement on the 8th inat. Mr. Magrath'a letter reads as fallows: "I beg to acknowledge receipt of your telegram of the 9th inst. indicating that your Board is in favor of the reciprocity pact now under consideration by this house. I am very sorry that I cannot see eye to eye with your Board in this matter. It is the largest question, in my judgment, that has ever been before the Canadian people, and I feet that they sliould be given an opportuntiy to pass upon it. I would be very glad, indeed, if we would be allowed to have the matter dealt with at the polls. - (.hope t* make a statement in the House at an early date and will send you copy of same. I merely wish to acknowledge and let you know that 1 have received your telegram."
