The lifting of their oil embargo against the United States is expected to be the main topic. The meeting was scheduled to convene in Tripoli but "due to accommodation difficulties it has been switched to the spokesman said. An industrial fair in Tripoli made the hotel situation difficult, he explained. Margaret to visit Winnipeg LONDON (CP) Princess Margaret is to visit Canada for Winnipeg's centennial celebrations in May, Kensington Palace confirmed today. The visit, announced last November after the Queen's sister had accepted's invitation to take part in centennial celebrations, begins May 9. It follows a week-long official visit to the United States by Princess- Margaret and her husband, the Earl of Snowdon. U Thant treated for cancer UNITED NATIONS (Reuter) Former UN secretary general U Thant, 65. is suffering from cancer and recently underwent an operation designed to arrest the disease, informed sources said Wednesday. He was operated on last October for what was described then as a benign lesion in one cheek Informants said that in fact the lesion was malignant and he later received cobalt therapy. Gromyko leaves Syria DAMASCUS (Reuter) So- viet Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko left today by air for Moscow after a two-day official visit to Syria during which he conferred with President Hafez Assad and other Syrian leaders on the Middle East problem and bilateral relations. In a statement before leaving, Gromyko said his talks with Syrian leaders were comprehensive, constructive and fruitful. Gromyko had his first round of talks with Syrian officials last week after which he left for Cairo. He returned here two days ago. Artillery duels reported BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) Iraq said today four Iraqi sol- diers were killed and seven wounded in the third straight day of border fighting with Iran. Radio Baghdad said troops of the two countries battled at two border points Wednesday, using mainly artillery and mortars. The state-run radio broadcast a military communique accusing Iran of "unprovoked and perfidious aggression." It said three Iranian shock and infantry platoons, supported by armored units, "tried to occupy two forward positions within Iraq's territory." Iran .and Iraq have repeatedly accused each other of aggression along their border. The voluntary price freeze was extended to March 31 at the meeting with 10 provincial premiers in January. With the deadline just over three weeks away the prime minister has been attempting to arrive at a national oil price agreement with Mr. Lougheed and Premier Allan Blakeney of Saskatchewan at one-on-one luncheon meetings this week. Out frf the talks are emerging proposals under which the federal government will provide federal economic, aid to bring about greater industrial development across Western Canada. This would include Manitoba and British Columbia, not just Alberta and Saskatchewan, a spokesman for the Alberta government said here Wednesday. CALGARY (CP) A young man wearing only a hat. bow tie, boots and frozen smile introduced streaking to the Stampede City Wednesday night, dashing along a snowcovered business street when the temperature was two degrees below zero. Only a few witnessed the numbing performance which drew no complaints to police. CARROLLTON, Ga. (AP) Streaking reached a new high early today when a male student at West Georgian College parachuted from a single-engine plane in the buff. The student, identified as Phil Canard, jumped from an altitude of about feet and landed safely in a campus parking lot.
