(CP) The Coutts' dairy farm is truly a family operation, except for some part-time summer help. Ron does most of the chores with their herd of 25 holsteins, Helen keeps the books and runs the household and Janice, 12, and Gordon, 8, do their share. The farm has been in the family since 1856. Mr. Coutts bought it from his father in 1959. Mrs. Coutts does the weekly marketing for some meats and staples. The family has a vegetable garden, and Mrs. Coutts cans, preserves and freezes the produce to save money.
