Predeceased by one brother, Fracis Sykes, June, 1974, and a grandson, J.ames Etherington, February, 1971. Born at Big Piney, Wyoming, she came to Canada in 1092 to Stavely, later moving to the Claresholm district, where she resided most of her life with the exception of living in British Columbia for twelve years. LEYDEN'S Funeral Homes Ltd Claresholm Branch, Directors of Services. C6849 ROSS Robert Harvey, formerly of the Warner district, passed away suddenly February 28, 1975 in Oliver, B.C., aged 66 years. He was predeceased by his father and mother Robert F. and Dora L. Ross of Warner. Harvey was born in Elsinore, Utah, October 14, 1908. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He received his education along with his brothers and sisters at the Warner School going on a horse drawn school van 14 miles a day for many years. In 1936 he and his wife Mabel Spencer, two children, Carol Mae and Billy moved to Osoyoos, B.C., where he was in the butcher business for many years. These children, Carol Mae and Billy now live in Seattle, Wash. In 1956 he took up ranching in the Oliver, B.C. district, where he married Jane his wife of today. They have four children, Marie, Aaron, Robert and Dora. During this time he also operated his farm at Warner, going back and forth all the year to his ranch in Oliver. Five years ago he rented his farm and moved home. He went on steadily ranching his many cattle and horses. Harvey was a great lover of horses as his grandfather and father before him. They were the first pioneers of the Warner district in 1901. Harvey was a race horse man travelling .hrough B.C. and .Alberta winning many trophies. He will be greatly missed by his 'amily and many friends hroughoul B.C. and Alberta. -Ic also leaves five sisters, Mary Hulit of Milk River, Phyllis Dickson Wish to thank all who assisted, and friends and relatives who helped to make our anniversary party such a happy occasion.
