WHEREAS It Is deemed expedient by the Board of Trustees of the Lethbrldge School District No. 51, of the Province of Alberta, that the sum of Four Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand DOLLARS should be borrowed on the security of the said District by Issue of debentures repayable to the bearer In Twenty Five (25) consecutive annual Instalments with Interest at the rate of not more than nine per cent per annum for the following purposes, namely: For the purpose of erecting a masonry and steel addition to and renovating the existing G. C. Paterson School located at 12th Avenue and 21st Street South, Lethbrldge, Alberta. A BY RENOVATION: 1 Convert existing staff room to janitor room 2. Convert existing infirmary to staff washrooms 3. Convert existing janitor's room to boys' washrooms 4. Convert existing storage space to science storage 5. Convert existing music room to elementary science room 6. Convert existing mud room to general storage and ancillary storage 7. Convert 2 existing classrooms to an administrative suite 8. Upgrade existing staff common room 9. Convert existing infirmary to staff work room 10. Convert existing classroom to Home Economics room 11. Convert existing mimeo room to female staff washrooms, gen- eral storage, counselling and infirmary 12. Convert existing administration area to 3 counselling rooms and associated areas 13. Convert existing boys' and girls' shower and dressing rooms to boys' and girls' washrooms and general storage 14. Convert existing audio-visual gym and storage and kitchenette to music room, practise rooms, music storage and gymnasium equipment storage 15. Convert part of main entrance, corridor and coat room to jan- itor and coat room 16. Renovate existing classroom to corridor and classroom 17. Required relocation of entrance to existing classroom 18. Renovate existing classroom to classroom and seminar room 19. Convert existing administration area to seminar room and general storage 20. Convert existing classroom and typing room to science facility 21. (ii) who is a Canadian citizen or British subject, and (Hi) resident, in the case of petition, in a district division for at least the 12 months immediately preceding the day on which the peti- tion is presented: A poll respecting the aforenoted borrowing may be demanded in a School District by preparing and- submitting to the School Board a petition for a vote in accordance with the provisions of Sections 2 3 and 104 of The School Act, 1970. The petition must be signed by at least (a) 2 per cent of the elactors in a district or division having electors or more, or (b) 5 per cent of the electors in a district or division having less than 10.000 but 5.000 electors or more, or (c) 10 per cent of the electors in a district or division having less than electors but 500 electors or more, or (d) 15 per cent of the electors in a district or division having less than 500 electors, and be filed with the Board within 15 days of the last publication in a newspaper of the public notice of the proposed debenture borrowing.
