He says he can end it two ways a happy ending or a sad and hopeless ending. Furie says the studio wants the one. figuring that will attract the attention of the critics who like sad and nelpless endings. But Furie says he's for the happy ending, so the public will eel good for a little while. He says he's threatened to nirn the negative if they -ry to force him to use the downbeat ending.
