The theme is 100 years with the Mounties. The Musical Ride will tour Alberta with funds provided by the Alberta RCMP century celebrations fund. The million fund has provided about million in grants to organizations, individuals and communities in Alberta wanting to mark the force's centennial. The rest of the fund, says co ordinator Dr. Tom Walker of Edmonton, is going into advertising, and public relations to promote historical awareness. "It's to make Albertans aware of their own heritage "We have a history just as much as the provinces down he says. In Lethbridge, the Whoop Up Country Historical Association has received a grant from the century celebration fund. Association head Dr. Arnie Locatelli says his group will spend the money on a sod roof for the Fort and new displays to "liven up" the Exhibition.
