Miss Acker will portray the wife of Hat Hoiforook, who stars as Senator Havs Stowe. Holbrook and Miss Acker portrayed the same roles in "A Clear and Present Danger." an NBC-TV "World movie which aired last March. Headlining the one-hou r extravanganza to be seen Wednesday July 1, at p.m. on the CBC-TV network are, left to right, internationally famous Quebec chanteur Jean-Pierre Ferland, soprano Loii Marshall, National Arts Centre orchestra leader Mario baritone singer Bernard Turgeon and Quebec chanteuse Ginetle Reno, as well as the Pas de Dix by the Compagnie des Grandes Ballets Canadiens, Sugar and Spice, Winnipeg-based folk-rock band and The Lighthouse, a Toronto rock group. Birthday Concert On July 1 Canada's birthday will be celebrated live and in color during CBC television's one- hour presentation of an excit- ing program featuring our own internationally known stars in concert from the National Arts Centre in Ottawa Wednesday, July 1 at 5 p.m. on Channel 7. The concert is called Bon jour Canada! and has the National Arts Centre Orchestra conduct- ed by Mario Bernard! backing such stars as soprano Lois Marshall, chanteuse Ginette Reno, baritone Bernard Tur- geon, chantcur Jean-Pierre Koi-land, the Compagnie clcs Grandes Ballets Canadiens, the Winnipeg folk-rock group Sugar a nd S'pice, and the Toronto based group The Lighthouse. Producer this Canada Day special, Noel GauvLn, says "people such as Bernard Tur- geon and Lois Marshall belong to that group Canatiian sing- ers who have established the fame of Canadian operatic voices throughout the world. "They will be appearing with such popular Quebec favorites as Giratte Reno and Jean-Pier- re Ferland who'll add variety and spice to the entertainment. As an added attraction, we will have special surprise guests, most of whom are as famous, or perhaps even more famous in some quarters, as the stars they will be introducing."
