His demand followed Solid tor-General Jean-Pierre Goyer's admission in Ottawa that a con- victed rapist on weekend leave from a British Columbia prison is a suspect in the slaying of a seven-year-old girl. Mr. Diefenbaker, in an inter- view while here to open a house for the handicapped, said it was "unbelievable" that a person vrfli a record of repeats cexua! attacks should be given a ticket of leave. "It is all very well for the minister to say that a number of sexual offenders have been given leave and nothing 'has happened. But a person who has a perpetual record of sexua crime is not one to be released "No amount of alibis can ge away from the fact that under the present solicitor-genera many of these things are hap- pening." Knowing what is happen- how much produced >y pigment cells in the skin. There are about the same number of these pigment-pro- ducing cells in everybody's skin, but some of them pro- duce more pigment than oth- ers. Your doctor is probably right n saying that you don't have any disease, if all that you have s a change in pigment of the skin. There are a lot of rea- sons for such pigment changes. VSost of them are relatively harmless. In a young woman who might be taking birth con- trol pills, this type of response can sometimes occur, produc- ing increased pigmented spots on the face. It also occurs sometimes during pregnancy and in other people it occurs with advancing years. Expo- sure to sun seems to enhance pigmentation. The best thing I can suggest is to use a sun-screen type cosmetic spread over the area of increased p i g m e n t a tion when you arc out in the sun. This will help keep the sun's rays from activating the cells to produce more pigment in that area. I know this is a cer- tain amount of bother, but the more you protect these areas in the sun the less pigmenta- tion they will develop. But I would like to relieve your mind by telling you that these types of changes are not an indica- tion of poor health or skin dis- ease.
