Susan, who hegan her train- ing when she was six, recently won Ihe State cf California Se- nior Highland Dance Champion- ship, and soys she "hopes to go on to the world championship." At the present time, Susan is in Lethbringe conducting a dance workshop for girls inter- ested In improving (heir dance. "I hope to get inio basic highland she said, "and include things Uke nation- al dances, teach stamps answer any problems the girl; have, go through style and stage presentation." Susan said she wants to help the girls enrolled in her work shop to generally "keep up their standard of dance." Susan, whose home base is Edmonton, said that Edmonton and Calgary are the highland dance centres, and Lcthbridge fails to receive as much atten lion because of its southerly lo- cation. According to him, there are too many people in the world as it is and we don't need any more screwballs. The real problem is that we don't need any more people like HIM. What we DO need is human beings who care about other people. A relative of mine committed suicide and it broke his par- ents' hearls. They will never get over it. He was a darling young person who had a lot to live for, but he had a mental breakdown. During a period when things looked black, he put an end to it all. Like so many young people, he masked his feelings so successfully that no one had an inkling. I hope the man who wrote that heartless letter never walks into a room and sees someone he loves lying on the floor in a pool of blood with a self-inflicted bullet wound in his head. I would not wish this on anybody. Not even a person who signs himself "Hitler's Buddy." God have mercy on his soul. They range in age from 16 to five years. These dogs have been like children to me. Recently I married. My present wife has a dog and she is as devoted to Dolly as I am to my dogs. The problem is that Dolly and my dogs are at each other's throats every chance they get. We have to keep my dogs in the basement and they are not very happy down there. We cannot turu all the dogs loose in the fenced yard at tho same time be- cause the barking disturbs the neighbors. My dogs have had a lifetime of companionship with me so I must spend a lot of time in the basement with them or they get very unhappy and cry. Neither my wife nor I can give up our dogs it would be like giving up children. Do you know of a tranquilizer we might give our pets to help them get along together?
