Alberta Hospital Role May Be Greatly Enlarged CLARESHOLM - Wi How Creek - Claresholm Auxiliary Hospital trustees report Uie mental health planning councils of the Calgary and Lethbridge regions received full support at the regular meeting from the board of trustees representing the Willow Creek-Claresholm AuxiUary Hospital and Nursing Home District No. 4 of the recommendations made by them to the minister of healtli for the futm-e roles of the Albei-ta Hospital, Clares-holm. A regional board, responsible for all three of the Claresholm hospitals and ha\ing representation from both of the region mental health pla.nning councils is seen as the means by which easier movement of patients between the three hospitals wUl be made possible, and a broadening of the present role of the Alberta Hospital, Claresholm, designed to sen-e the w-hole of the southern area of Alberta is envisaged. Units for the care of alo�-holics and other drug - users, severely disturbed elderly, emotionally disturbed adolescents and possibly certain categories of the severely mentally retarded are included in the recommendations. DISTRICT DOINGS Heads Golf Club BLAIRMORE (CNP Bureau) - Laren Giacomuzzi recently was elected president of the jimior executive of the Cro^vs-nest Pass Golf and Country Club. Visits Schools SPARWOOD (HNS) - Donald Bi'others, minister of education, recently visited the Natal Elementary and Spaj'wood Secondary schools. The department of education has given apprwal to the Fer-nie school district for the calling of tenders that wiJl give the necessary additions to the new elementary school at Spar-wood. Dunn To Speak RA\'MOND (HNS) - Elder Loren C. Dunn will speak at the quarterly conference of the LDS Church, Taylor Stake, Sunday June 21. Tl>e conference will be held at Uio Raymond Cultm-e HaD at 10 a.m. Mr. Dunn is a member of the first council of seventy with headquarters in Salt Lake City.
