Eggs have gone down in price to the consumer an average of 9.2 per cent. Turkey prices to the consum- er have decreased 3.4 per cent in the same period, while chicken prices have increased only 6.2 per cent. Miss Johnson said the forma- tion of the marketing boards allowed for the control of out- put and the increase of price levels and at the same time kept chicken prices about the same as turkey prices. She points to the increase in the price of other basic food products in the same period, in- cluding 75.8 per cent for toma- toes, 53.7 per cent for lettuce, 42.9 per cent for milk, 48.9 per cent for fish and 29.5 par cent for bread.
