Every ma on the system applied for re-instat ment. One employee just barely qual fies as a married man, the ceremony 3eing performed today. After the single men have been eliminated, -the jobs mil be apportioned according to the efficiency of the applicant. The commissioners are anxious to learn if any of the single men are support- ing parents, as they maintain that these .have as much right to consid- eration as the married men. The lighting apparatus had gone out of commission, and some object was struck in the dark. Mr. Stubbs and another man, whose name could bot he learned, were pitched through the windshield to- Isnther. Mr. Stubbs- received some bruises and scratches, but '.he other occupants escaped almost uninjured. The car was badly damaged, and when the impact occurred, tho front wheels were driven along with the axle, to the rear end of tlie car.
